This was a shopping destination specifically on my list and I even brought an extra suitcase within a suitcase in anticipation of buying a few copper pots to bring back home. We went on a Friday afternoon at 530 right when the store was getting ready to close at 6. ( not originally planned, but sightseeing took longer than expected... More

It took a while to find the place, but once we did it was a little overwhelming to see all of the kitchen implements! Some things I didn't know what they were! I ended up gettinig a French rolling pin, which I've always wanted. The staff there were very nice and spoke English and were helpful. More

What a marvelous place to buy cookware. The prices were reasonable and I came away with three giant bags of pans, knives and gadgets that I had no idea how I was going to get home in my luggage. Dehillerin was some of the most shopping fun I've ever had. There are no prices on anything. You need to find... More

I was a little nervous about visiting this store since previous reviews commented on the attitude of the staff. I need not have worried. The range of cookware was wonderful, especially the copper pans and the carbon steel knives. I found the prices very reasonable and the staff very helpful - the gentleman who helped me spoke excellent English, took... More

Yes the place is a warehouse and you must check their schedule for the hours open, and the service is brisk - but Dehillerin is a treasure trove for well price copper in a grand assortment of shapes sizes and functions from tea kettles to the best small frying pan I've had in my life, the casseroles and soup pots... Every time I'm in Paris, I go here for a few treasures. They all get used when I'm home. Wander the dusty unpretentious store filled with cook's delights and load up! Worth going out of your way, and worth whatever you pay! I love this store (of course, I love to cook!!!) More

Wow, what a store and what a city! In May 2012 we're returning to Paris and will revisit E. Dehillerin for a few more big item purchases. In Sept we spent $1200 for 5 copper pots/pans... literally top of the line and heavy as hell! Customer service was extraordinary (Merci Monsieur Frank) and they finished up the transaction by taking... More

If you are a true foodie/ love to cook than going here is like a pilgrimage!. Everyone should come here. The best costumer service anywhere!. I took my Mom who is disabled and everyone was so accommodating. It's ridiculous that this place has gotten any bad reviews. I attribute that to peoples lack of knowledge of cooking tools because we... More

It is probably the only place where even experienced hobby cooks do not understand or recognize some of the tools you can buy there. Amazing. Everything you ever dreamt of is there. Staff is not very kind to non-professional shoppers, but heck, one can support that easily. Five different woods as a choice for your rolling pin, you learn that... More

30 years have passed since I visited the famous cooking-shop first time. I still have the same feeling when I go there - to be in a timeless "center of excellence" where true quality (cheap or expensive) is King. If you like cooking it is inspiring to walk along with Italian and French and chefs while they are buying equipment... More
