It is absolutely amazing, the collection of the Louvre is truly one of the best in the world. In my opinion the only other collection that can be compared to it is Hermitage in St. Petersburg, nobody else can come close. The tickets are very resonably priced. If you have a chance to visit it you should, but plan your... More

This is the most amazing museum I've ever been to and the largest in the world! Alas it would take you a long time (a few days at least) to see absolutely everything but it is very impressive. FREE ENTRY - tickets are usually about 10€ I think but if you live in the EU and are under 26 then... More

The Collections in the Louvre are truly wonderful,, some of the great treasures of Mankind are to be seen. It is a destination not to be missed. Unfortunately the audio guide is total rubbish, for a museum which styles itself as a leader in the world and whose collection is so studied the material in the audio guide is poorly... More

I just returned from a three week stay in Paris. Le Louvre was the busiest attraction that I had the pleasure of seeing. To get to the Mona Lisa was a huge effort and I was surprised at the size of the painting...smaller than I thought it would be. It was worth fighting the crowds as I was in Paris... More

We spent our first day in Paris here and only managed to see a fraction of what was displayed. So do your research before you go or download there app as we did. Of course you have to see the Mona Lisa, but whether or not it lives up to your expectations is another matter, and how desperate are you... More

It is definitely worth sacrificing the summer weather to visit the Louvre in the Fall. The crowds were much more manageable. Be sure to go in the morning close to opening and don't be deterred by the daunting line up. The line moves very quickly and it is only a short wait to get into the museum. Once you pass... More

This is a must see place, just off the rue de Rivioli behind the Louvre. All types of period and vintage antiques of every kind, brandy sets, paintings, classic jewelry, just to name a few Several floors of "really good stuff". There is also a cute little cafe for a kir royal and fromage. 2,Place du Palais Royal 75001 tue-sun... More
