Checked their website last night before going this morning (Sunday) saw they were closed on Mondays but no other notices. I had read the trip advisor reviews about the long ques so decided to go early (was there just after 9 am) to find a small note next to the door, closed today and tommorrow. No explanation no advice. I... More

I thought the catacombs were very interesting. I went on a Friday in the afternoon and after seeing how large the queue was we decided to get up early the next day and queue early. We arrived at the catacombs on Saturday at half 9, it opens at 10 and the queue was still massive. We waited for 3 hours... More

We had to wait an hour in the rain and once inside I found it was pretty boring. More

It is probably impossible to convey the feeling that this place gives you. DO NOT do this without a guide to explain it. Aeon Tours was used to book our guide/tour (Miguel) He explained the history which is significant and fascinating; the size of this is staggering; about 7 million people's remains are down there. There are quite a few... More

Not for the mobility challenged or the squeemish. There is a circular staircase to get down and another to climb back to the surface. They are steep and because they are tightly wound a little disorenting. Very facinating walk almost 20 meters underground. However, there are a lot of bones and human skulls. If this bothers you this site isn't... More

I guess I should have read the reviews before I left. On a whim I decided to check it out and arrived about an hour after the tour began. I waited in line for approximately 2 hours- yes I did. But oh it was worth the wait. Interesting history and the bones- oh the bones. To think of the history... More

In all the literature we read we didn't see that the catacombs are closed on holidays- bank holidays to be precise. It was the day of Ascension, and sure enough, we were amazed that there were no lines when we got there. Really!!!! Very disappointing as this was on the top of our list of things to do, especially traveling... More

I tried on 3 different days to get into this attraction and finally on my last day in Paris, I was determined to see it. I showed up 2 hours before opening and still was only 2nd in line. They only let a small amount of people in the caves at a time per city safety code and it takes... More

If you read "Das Parfum/ Perfume" of Patrick Suskind (become a mad Tim Burton movie later) you will see that the main caracter was born at Cimitière des Innocents before the cemetery was "disassembled". Well, here the old cemetery is! You will walk by the walls of bones and skulls taken from the old parisian cemeteries from 1785-1830. You must... More

We showed up and got in line for tickets about 30 minutes before they opened, and I'm glad we did, because the line was getting very long by the time we went in. Be prepared for some stairs going down and then back up, but not too bad. There is a lot of education information about the quarries and the... More
