The outside of the building is no more impressive than many of the buildings around but the tranquil gardens are the prettiest we saw, including versailles, although that is a tough comparsion due to the size, these are small and quiet, unlike crowded massive versailles. more
While the Palais Royal, across from the Louvre, is not open to the public, you can still admire the building through the gates. But try to stop by in the gardens behind the Palais.
