This is a very beautiful Parisian Palais, and a very welcome escape from the Hustle and Bustle of the surrounding streets.
Perfect to grab a baguette and enjoy it in the surrounds of the Palais, with its symmetrical gardens changing dramatically with each season. The surrounding shops and restaurants on the ground floor are definitely worth a look

I love that this place is hidden away behind the walls. Only the curious and learned know it is there. Beautiful shops line the park including Pierre Hardy and Marc Jacobs. Also shop to buy your Legion of Honor pin.

Nice and quiet garden to have a break after visiting the Louvres or the Opera Garnier... Especially nice in the spring and summer.

If you visit or even just if you like Paris, you have to admit that some most beautiful building in Paris are from XVIII century and they are parts of the fabulous charm of this city. So Palais Royal is one of them. It is just a square building with a garden but with a very specific charm.

The commentary was particularly good in providing background information about the Steins. The gallery had done a good job in assembling many of the paintings originally acquired by the Steins but long since sold on.

The outside of the building is no more impressive than many of the buildings around but the tranquil gardens are the prettiest we saw, including versailles, although that is a tough comparsion due to the size, these are small and quiet, unlike crowded massive versailles.
