If you can make it past the window, I recommend that you go in and buy a cake. I had a strawberry eclair. It was exquisite. If that wasn't enough, we went upstairs to the restaurant and had a reasonably priced lunch. The food and wine was superb.

It's a beautiful store, gorgeous chocolate everywhere. It is expensive but worth it. Loved the bakery products and coffee, they were the best of all the baguettes that we had while in Paris.

Fauchon should be a top priority on your list of things to do in Paris! Enjoy a lovely coffee or hot chocolate with a gorgeous dessert and people watch at the counter overlooking Place Madeline. I knew of this place before coming to Paris, so we went specifically to check it out and it did not disappoint! Delicious bread with delicious butter with perfectly-made coffee and scrumptious pastry. The place is definitely expensive, but very well worth it. We sat by the window and people watched on a Friday morning. I am definitely going back...

I love canelé and I taste them in many boulangerie, but absolutely the best you can eat in Fauchon. They are realy marvellous, rich vanilla. I have to admit that éclair and madeleine are also interesting.
