My boyfriend loved a painting here. I need to find contact information for the artists here to buy it for him. Any ideas? More

Place du Tertre is like the New Orleans French Quarter. There are musicians performing and a multitude of artists around the square. Very nice place to visit while in Paris! More

My first visit in 2005, the full square was devoted to artists, mostly watercolour and oil on canvas. My next visit in 2010, only half the... More

Enjoyed watching the painters at their craft. Only wish I could have stayed longer in the neighbourhood. More

The plaza is full of painters, with their paintings. I see many are painting for the tourists. Maybe they're not famous, but they make the place vivid and romantic. More

Actually the feeling that you're in the heart of Montmartre is a bit spoiled with touristic crowd gathering around. The square is too small to fit so many people at once. As itself it's charming for sure, when people are going out and you can walk with calm, you can "breath" for a while and feel the spirit of this... More

If you come to Montmartre, you have to come here. If you come here one time, that's probably enough. Very touristy, but a must, at least once. More

The only time I really enjoyed the Place du Tertre was the time I cam before 9am. Then it was lovely. After 10am, forget it, hordes of tourists and portrait artists trying to take their money. Be on the lookout for ten euro glasses of flat Coke. (I speak from experience!) Montmartre outside this square is simply great, however -... More

A place to visit once and then to avoid. Much too touristy for my tastes. The cafes are overpriced and not very relaxing. More
