This church is well known among music enthusiasts because of its famous pipe organ, the largest in France. However, few tourist guides mention St-Eustache. I went because a friend I met in Paris loves the place, and I'm glad she took me there. I only wish I had been in town for an organ recital. more

In front of the church is one beutiful monumanet. And one the next corner is the most amazing shop I have ever seen. Is a shop for confiture( cakes) industries. There you can realize what make's the cookies look so great, and what a industries is cooking. more

Right out of the metro stop (les halles) this beautiful church for some reason doesn't seem to be emphasized much in the travel books but is outstanding, the free organ concerts on Sunday evening is relaxing and just a great break from a hectic vacation. more

This is an overlooked church. In any other city it would be a top attraction. But with Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur in Paris, poor St Eustache barely gets a mention. It's a shame. From Pont Neuf, go north up Rue Pont Neuf, and cross Les Halles (above ground) and you will come to this huge church. Lots to see inside, including a striking tableau in a side chapel depecting the theft of the street market that the (horrible) Halles replaced. Hardly any guide-books recommend a visit to the church of St.Eustace. Too bad for those who only listen to guide-books. St.Eustace is about the same size as the Notre-Dame, and though its interior is in a sad condition, and could do with a million euro for redecorating, you can still truly feel the wings of history in this enormous church... more
