So you though the Notre Dame entrance queue too long? So you though Saint Dennis too far away? Go to St. Eustache! It is so near Les Halles forum! Jump off the subway, there it is. You cannot miss. It is a very nice big church outside the radar of most of the tourists and near enough to come back... More

We wondered through the area of Les Halles and my husband had read a little about this church so went in. We were so delighted and it was just breathtaking and not nerely as busy as more famous churches. While walking around and taking in all of the church's beauty and wonderful art the pipe organist began to play! We... More

This was a wonderful surprise. The books just don't do it justice. Everything just felt more authentic. Beautiful stain glass and frescos. The best Rose window in the city! More

I found a place to stay using "Trip Advisor" in someone's apartment and that was just the wonderful beginning. As I used his directions to get to his place I came off the Metro, looked back and saw this wonderful church. When I asked about it he poured out that, "This was his favorite church ... more part of the... More

This is a great church both inside and out. We couldn't wait to see the giant sundial or take a picture with the giant sculpture outside. More

We stayed near this church in November 2007 and wanted to take a look but could not get in. It looked abandoned and forlorn. On a more recent trip, we found our way in and were glad we took the trouble. This is a gothic gem that is in the slow process of being polished and repaired. While this elegant... More

10 years ago, we visited Paris. My husband somehow noticed this church and we were drawn to it. In 2001, the church was dingy, dirty and the paintings (frescos?) in the side chapels were peeling. The inside of the church looked like centuries of candles had left behind a film that discolored the stone. The outside of the church also... More

If we did not stay near this church we would have missed it entirely. It was not on our must see list. It is just beautiful inside and out with so much history. Louis XIV received his First Holy Communion there and Cardinal Richelieu was baptized there just to name a few. It is not as dark inside as Notre... More

My husband and I really enjoyed St. Eustache. It had an interesting interior. It was set up as most of the churches in Europe, but there were elements that were really cool and I'm glad we didn't miss. If you only have 1 day in Paris you can skip it, but if you have more time you won't regret seeing... More

Beautiful church not that advertised! Close to the station of Les Halles and rue Rivoli in a really nice garden... We didn t read too much about it but just saw this huge building on our last day of the trip during a walk. It s spectacular with an important historical curriculum and inside there s the biggest organ in... More
