It's always good to have green space near a big city. This park is nice but unfortunately there are too many streets accessible to cars that cut through the park making it feel much less like a haven from the city than it could be.

A large green space in the west of Paris. The lake is nice and there is a good space for outdoor activities. The "Jardin d'Acclimation" is also there and good for small children.
The sad point is that a place for some prostitutes and drug users, so you have to be careful.

Compared to say Central Park or Golden Gate Park, the Bois de Boulogne doesn't hold up well. Still, for a big expanse of woods, grass, gardens, and water with some stuff to do, it continues to attract people every weekend - including my family on a regular basis.

The Bois de Boulogne is a great park for walking, running, or people watching. The grassy areas near the ponds are beautiful places to picnic or just to lay out for a while and the woods are extensive and have lots of paths and running trails. You could explore the area for a long time. While beautiful during the day,...
