We went through Bois de Boulogne park as a short cut to the campsite. After a busy day sight-seeinng in Paris it was really nice to discover this park. The Bois de Boulogne is a great park for walking, running, or people watching. The grassy areas near the ponds are beautiful places to picnic or just to lay out for a while and the woods are extensive and have lots of paths and running trails. A beautiful park in the heart of the city. However, the real treat (especially on a Sunday afternoon) is the zoo. It features animals which I had never actually seen before - and the crowd pleasing monkeys. A treat for all - not just the children! more
