We decided on 2 different choux pastry creations - a Paris Brest (filled with praline flavoured cream) and a Saint-Honoré (puff pastry base topped with choux pastry cream filled balls and eclairs and more cream). DH moaned with delight over the Paris Brest; it was very nice and his personal favourite during our week in Paris. The Saint-Honoré was a... More

I wandered into this little part of heaven at 93 rue du bac while I was waiting to view a church after the service was over. It is a very visually stunning shop. There was only one person in the shop when I entered so I did not have to wait for service. I chose the Paris Brest. It was... More

La Pâtisserie des Rêves is a beautiful design shop. Observing the pastries under bells from all angles is already a great pleasure. The Paris-Brest is extraordinary: the praliné layer inside is awesome. The Saint-Honoré is also to die for. I like the Salon de Thé in the 16th. Very pleasant to savor cakes with a lemonade in the small garden. More

We were 1st impressed by the decor but our excitation was quickly stopped. 1) 30 minutes of wait whereas there were more tables... More

Say you're walking from Musee Rodin to le Bon Marche and Sevres Babylone -- like its name, this shop pops up unexpectedly, like a gingerbread house in a forest clearing. This is the second of two shops, the one at 93 rue du Bac, nestled amongst shops, flats, and embassy residences. You will stop in your tracks at this Jetsons-meets-Poilâne-by-way-of-MIB... More
