This is the only place in Paris where you will see highrise buildings -- La Defense is a collection of modern office buildings and also has a very nice shopping mall. There is a lovely x-mas market throughout the month of December that should not be missed. Enjoy French delicacies and good wine while shopping for souvenirs or x-mas gifts. More

A "must visit" place in Paris. Bussines people all around, modern buildings, art instalations and modern sculptures. Nice place for shopping. Distance from central Paris is just a 8 min with "RER A" ( faster than regular metro ) metro line. More

I recommend this place, not for the beauty of a single building but for the whole idea of creating a new area with architects competing with each other for the future Paris. More

This area is not the Paris you would picture. It is outside Paris, a 20 minute Metro ride to get here. Skyscrapers filled with offices dominate. While the architecture is very modern and interesting, it is NOT what most would come to Paris to see. The new Arche is interesting to see if you've already seen the other Paris sights.... More
