Yesterday my husband and I went to the Palais de Tokyo -- newly done museum in Paris. Upon entry we heard 4 beautiful Yamaha pianos being played by young people. The music was nothing but dissonance and seemed never to stop. We moved on; the art was unusual and "modern" -- but if you want really beautiful modern, go to... More

Palais de Tokyo is a sexy place. Its exterior is grand, but the interior has a run-down feel and is complex. I mean I got lost walking up and down the building. I had heard about this place for years as some emerging Thai artists got to exhibit/perform their as part of a cultural extravaganza the Thai government was working... More

Really not worth going. I like modern, abstract and contemporary art. This was simply boring and amateurish. There is so much great art in Paris, you won't find it here. More

The building is in terrible shape, but for avant-garde art in Paris this is the classic place. (Does that make sense??) The restaurant is cool and in the summer they have a nice outside dining area with a view of the Seine. More

It's hard work getting to this place, especially at rush hour on the Metro. Once in the 'hood, the signs at night make this place a bit difficult to find. Here we go: 1. The bathrooms are disgusting--dirty, no toilet paper in one. After dark, and downstairs, its creepy. My wife saw a small rodent passing by. 2. This museum... More

This is a quirky, modern place that's off the usual tourist track. The gift shop has interesting things and there is a cafe where you can sit outside and enjoy beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower. More

What can I say!? This is a must visit when in Paris. So much fun, very off the wall and a fantastic building. I will try and visit every time I am in Paris! (fantastic toilets too!) More

More should said about Palais de Tokyo here. Always thought provokingly exciting, often funny and sometimes disturbing, but still great for children too (but do look ahead) this deconstructed building is an oasis. We sometimes simply go lie down on the floor for a moment. Go there and see for yourself! And when you do not like what you see... More
