The French Jewish community is the largest & most vibrant in Europe. This well-funded museum has interesting artifacts and exhibits. They also have some cultural activities for kids. The only issue I have is that you sometimes get the feeling that Judaism is finished & this is a monument to something gone rather than something still alive. More

This museum is extraordinary given france's history of anti-semitism (which still prevails). People of all faiths should visit to see what horrors humans inflict upon others simply because they are different. All should go to this museum. And if they wish to learn more should read Sarah's Key to learn about the round-up of all of the jewish citizenry at... More

A very important museum and inspiring to say the least! Well set-out and enthusiastic staff who clearly enjoy their jobs. The range and depth of art was astounding and it is well worth a visit. More

Be prepared to go through security before you can get into the museum. Included with the Museum card, if you have it. The museum provides the audioguide for free, to it's credit. A bit repetitive in a few areas, but enlightening and interesting. Of special attention is a copy of the emancipation declaration in the first room, representing when French... More
