This important collection makes the musée du quai Branly an unmissable place for discovering the art culture of the non-European world. The museum’s original and imposing architecture designed by Jean Nouvel and its wild garden created by the landscaper Gilles Clément combine to make it a pleasant and unique place. The museum is the fourth largest museum in Paris. « less

I visited this museum on start of December. It's architecture is unique, and it hosts very interesting exibits. I had time to visit only a small part of the collections, so I focused to items coming from the Pacific islands. It was a great opportunity to get in touch with cultures that most of us ,western people, are not familiar... more

A huge collection of "Primitive Art" from around the world. Very special collection of South Pacific art of the islands. The museum has great New Guinean, Balinese and Indonesian art, but pretty much everywhere native populations created beautiful, imaginative art is represented. Excellent interactive video screens tucked in corners throughout the museum with mini-documentaries of the people whose art was... more

We came across this museum by accident en route to the Eiffel Tower. We were initially intrigued by the building by the entrance, which was covered in foliage from head to toe! The gardens leading to the entrance were lush - green and wild - lovely bit of peace in the hectic city! If the weather was drier, it would... more

Very interesting, very thought provoking collection of native and primitive artwork. The mostly three dimensional displays are very well put together, well thought out and the environment of the museum is, in itself, art. Uncrowded and calm, it is a welcome break from the always crowded Louvre and the bigger flat art museums. Well worth an hour or two of... more

I loved this museum and highly recommend it to anyone interested in travel, anthropology, or art. If you have enough time after seeing the more traditional attractions in paris, this is a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon. The information the displays provide cover diverse aspects of life for people around the world and is presented in interesting... more

This museum is only for those who are specifically interested in the era it represents, the building is interesting also, and there were no lines, and it is included on the museum pass so it's worth a visit. more

As if Paris did not have enough amazing sites and museums, we all must now add this museum to the list. It houses a stunning collection of tribal artefacts from Oceania to the Americas. We arrived just in time to miss the long queue on Sunday afternoon, but it was still pretty packed with people. It was well worth it... more

With stunning views of the Eiffel tower, a jungle garden and an extraordinary collection of indigenous art, this new museum my not be on your first list of things to see in Paris, but then you may want to think again. Go for the pieces themselves, exceptional in every way, or for the Jean Nouvel architecture, which questions the whole... more
