We had pre-booked our entry ticket, but you can get a discount on the door if you have a Paris Visite card. Thought there would have been some g-force or something going up in the lift because it only takes 10 seconds to go 56 floors, how wrong was I? Smooth isn't the word, effortless yes. This was one of the highlights of our trip- amazing views. We didn't go out ont to the terrace because the weather was a bit dodgy so went to the bar on 54th floor instead. Drinks are quite pricey but worth it for the amazing views. Get there in the late evening when it's getting dark for the best views. more

We visited at about 9pm there was hardly anyone else around but the views back over Paris was spectacular. The Eiffel Tower lit up was stunning as is Paris at night. A real highlight of our visit. more
