We had a fabulous day with Rachel who looked after us for the day. The weather was not kind to us but it didn't spoil the day.
We all learnt so much about the region and wine making in general.
We also visited an olive cooperative which was fascinating and included a tasting of olives and oil. This was followed by an hour on the Canal du Midi with local wines, a lovely local lunch and a trip to Minerve. The day was rounded off with a tour to an amazing chateau estate vineyard with a unique growing methodology and another wine tasting. A fun filled day enjoyed by us all.

Wendy arranged a bespoke Minervois tour for our fairly wine knowledgeable party of four.

Our guide Kate was excellent. We found her to be very knowledgeable, approachable, extremely customer focused and importantly lots of fun.

We visited three interesting wineries which were differentiated by terroir and by their scale. Kate ensured the tastings were selected to match our interests.

Unfortunately we were a few days too late to see the end of the harvest being brought in. However, as well as sampling finished wines from previous years one of the wineries took us to taste this year's production under fermentation - quite revelation to see, smell and taste five different wines mid-process from tanks!

And just to make sure we coped with the volumes of tastings (we hate to spit!) there was a really nice lunch at a village restaurant ... with more wine.

Highly recommended.

We were guided by Carlos. We had a great conversation with him the whole way in which he really added color to the region that we were visiting, both historically and presently. We visited the high castles in the Rousillon region which were amazing to experience, as well as seeing the internals of a modern working winery and had lunch at a fantastic restaurant. Would very well recommend it. We were also able to arrange the most convenient pickup/drop off location that would work with our canal boat trip.

We emailed Vin en Vacances Tours asking for two days of private wine tasting for our party of four (two couples). I am so glad we found them! Wendy (the owner as it turns out) answered back quickly - she was so responsive through the entire process. She arranged a day in the Carcassonne area, and then a custom day over the border in Spain with Carlos (also amazing!). It was so nice to leave the planning to them, ride in clean comfortable vans, included local lunches and it was obvious they were personally known to the wineries. The knowledge of the area, learning the history, amazing wineries! I would highly recommend letting Wendy and her team plan your day and just enjoy this beautiful area!

We had a terrific time touring the Corbière region with Vin en Vacances. We were picked up right at our villa - no driving required. And not only was our guide incredibly knowledgeable, she took us to wineries we'd never have found on our own, with tours from the winemaker himself. Wonderful lunch in a Plus Beaux Villages, as well. Highly recommend!

I like to take my sketching groups on one of these marvelous wine tours. We had a wonderful day with Kate who is so knowledgeable and so much fun and everyone comes away with new knowledge about food and wine.
So enjoyed all of it and sketched our wine at lunch.

8 of us had a fantastic day with Vin en Vacances. Our only free day was a Sunday when most vineyards are closed, however Wendy organised a great itinerary for us. Our guide was Kate who was just brilliant. So knowledgable and we all felt we learnt so much from Kate and her lovely & clear way of explaining the wines. Our first vineyard was Domaine de la Rouquette in La Clape. A lovely, family run vineyard and our tasting was very detailed and long. We all bought some wine at the end. In particular the sparkling Muscat was a joy. Lunch was booked for us at La Cambuse in Gruissan. Wendy helped with all the ordering and the food was delicious. Our afternoon tasting was at Gerard Bertrand - we all enjoyed the visit though not so inspired to buy the wines compared to La Rouquette, but the Domaine is really something to see.
Our thanks to Wendy and Kate for a great day and we are definitely thinking of another tour!

An experience we will never forget! I learnt so much. Wendy's son Tom collected us and on the way to the vineyard gave us an overview of Languedoc wine production and what to expect from the day. We were dropped in the middle of a vineyard where his mother, Wendy was waiting to tell us about growing grapes. I know so much more now! Fascinating. It is great to listen to someone who really know what they are talking about - and Wendy certainly does. Then back to Wendy's beautiful house to sample a great selection of wines, accompanied by some delicious cheese and charcuterie. The day was the highlight of our visit to Carcassone. Wendy made the wine come alive.`I would do it again in a heartbeat.

While we did enjoy our tours with Vin en Vacances we did not receive the wine experience we were promised. Several emails expressing the importance of in-depth wine tours (walking vineyards, meeting owners, learning the art of winemaking and wine tastings) were shared with the commitment that this is what is always provided

Unfortunately not the case. Buyer beware. We paid $5400 CAD for 5 days of touring. Price based on our requests. We did not get our monies worth

When discussed with the owner after our trip I was chastised for not raising it sooner. In my opinion the onus is on the provider to check in to ensure customer satisfaction

Definitely not the case with this tour company

I didn't mean to sound as though I was chastising you and I am horrified to think you feel that way. All I was trying to convey was that telling me when you got home rather than when I spent your last day with you meant that it was too late for me to rectify the problem. I don't agree that you didn't get your monies worth as you put it but I am sorry that you feel this way. In the 14 years we have been running these tours we have only ever had happy clients and we did nothing different on this occasion so we are all at a loss to understand why you feel this way. However we wish you well. Wendy

Wow! what an amazing afternoon we all had in the Company of Tom (who picked us up from Carcassonne) and Wendy who gave us a guided tour of the vineyard and explained the vines with such knowledge and passion. We then went to the tasting room in the stunning setting of Wendy's home. The wines selected by Wendy were amazing and accompanied with a very generous charcuterie board with a variety of cheeses, olives and bread. Listening to Wendy her passion shone through and we all came away from the afternoon with everyone in agreement that it was the highlight of our 4 day stay in Carcassone! Wendy has also written a book (the Wines of the Languedoc-Roussillon) which we bought and will enjoy reading more about wines of this beautiful region. Thankyou Wendy and Tom for a great afternoon X
