The museum is a great place to take children. it isn't too big and there is a good mix of history and things to see so adults can enjoy it too. There is a factory shop to get your Haribo fix at the end and plenty of free samples.

Our family of two adults and three children (ages 10-16) really enjoyed touring the Haribo museum. The tour shows how the candy is made, and at one spot on the tour, we actually saw people making candy. The highlight was the huge gift shop at the end of the tour--fantastic prices on a huge selection of Haribo candies--perfect souvenir gifts...

The entry fee includes two tokens used in the various machines to obtain sample packets of sweets. there is a huge, supermarket-style, outlet at the exit for the purchase of larger quantities of Confectionary.

The museum has nothing to offer, it is just 3 rooms with boring things to do (chemical formulae of gummibears... yawn). The machines do not work. My kids hated the place. You do get a few "free" pieces of candy, but you'd be better off just saving the 10 euros of the entrance fee and buying candy yourself at the...

So the story of Haribo is nice but looks a bit superficial.
The machines are great, but they are just filling machines, so no production...

We were recommended this musuem by a local and visited on the way back from the Pont du Gard. It is a lot of fun. My children had a ball. There is a spot where you can have your picture taken and emailed to you as a postcard. Lots of fun.
