This is one of the worst train stations in Europe. It has open sides which means it is always freezing. Travellers huddle around the heating that was added after construction. It's a disaster. More

Very cold station but if you go to the back of the station there is a Carrefour and the Euralille shopping precinct just across the way where you can sit and eat and drink in the warm. More

This is confusing. The railway station is Lille Europe. A modern, unlovely but reasonably effective station for high speed TGV and Eurostar rail services. Euralille is the adjoining shopping centre which is just that, a modern covered shopping area with mainly chain stores and a huge Carrefour Supermarket. More

This appears to be a new station, built in the style of a car dealership, expect the glass panels stop about 15 ft short of the roof. Many of the platforms are sub-ground level. Not the most comfortable of places to have to wait - the architecture (open-plan girders everywhere) evokes a feeling of `it'll be nice when it's finished' (compare with the beautiful and spectacular St Pancras!), in winter time it is cold and draughty (despite the columnar `toaster racks'), and rather uninviting especially the toilet area.
