This Cathedrale is huge and magnificent....very much in the style of Notre Dame in Paris, IMO. We enjoyed just walking around and looking at everything inside and out. A bonus while there was the organist was practicing it really set the tone. Don't miss it More

Bayeux Cathedral is simply one of the most beautiful in France. Because it is a little smaller than Notre Dame in Paris, or Rouen, or Rheims, it feels more intimate, but the soaring pillars, vaulted ceiling, Gothic external decorative stonework, carvings and windows, are simply splendid. On a tour of Normandy, don't miss this lovely place. More

This cathedral has not fared that well between the Huguenots destroying it in the 1600s and the war and it does not spell out its history very clearly, although we did not take the tour and would have benefited from one to hear more about it. Pretty stained glass and a crypt to visit, it is nice to stop in... More

Wow! I did not expect to see and visit such a stunning cathedral in Bayeux. Take some time to stroll around, view the inside and be sure to take the stairs down to the crypt.
