This is a superb WWII and D-Day museum. It tracks the history leading up to WWII and gives great insight into D Day. Target group, 6 year olds, 20 bucks per adult. I've been to alot of museums in france in the last year ,like 50, this was the worst and the most expensive. Go see some real history,Caen has lots. Go to the info center they are very helpful. more
I got to visit this museum on September 17, 2008. I thought it did an outstanding job of showing what led to World War II and the war itself. Hello everyone My wife and I visited in summer of 2006. We found the whole museum complex very interesting and worthy of visiting. Whilst very sombre, we liked learning more about the sacrifices that people made. It allowed us to appreciate them even more. Definately a half day's worth of information and exhibits. The Peace Museum in Caen is an award-winning museum that really deserves it. Everyone in our family loves it from the oldest to the youngest (late 70s through teenagerdom and down to age 4), and we've been there three or four times.
