A cruise in mid-November 2009 included a stop in Marseilles, France [switched to Toulons due to high winds]. After choosing a shore excursion to nearby Aix-en-Provence, we discovered on the internet "Wine in Provence" - a company that offers wine tastings and cooking classes in and around Aix. Our schedule did not conform to their posted times, however, upon our... more

Wine in Provence is one of the best things I've done while in Aix-en-Provence. It was not only a wine tasting (although we did try amazing vins) but an educational experience as Hilary and Brian share their vast knowledge of how to enjoy and choose wine. They have different packages, including those for students, that focus on difference aspects of... more

I recently took the Wine in Provence Market Day Cooking and Wine class and it was fantastic!! We were in France for 14 days and this was one of the highlights of the trip. Hilary and Chef Caroline were delightful as we shopped the market for our food and then prepared an amazing lunch, drank fantastic wines and learned about... more

We were looking for a one-day, casual and easy cooking class while in Provence and found it in "Wine in Provence". Brian greeted us (actually found us, after we got lost when driving in Aix), and then we hooked up with Caroline and he for a shopping trip at the public market in the heart of Aix. We agreed on... more

Hilary and Caroline (our chef) are much too fun! We met at the market under the bell tower, and shopped for all of our ingredients for lunch. A special goat cheese salad, salmon tartare, ratatouille, fresh bread and made from scratch crepes suzette. All of this we made as a group. What a blast! We also went to the local... more

Hilary is a very enthusiastic and well-informed wine tutor. It's great to get her perspective on French wines from Provence and the surrounding areas. We really learned a lot about how to understand and purchase great (& inexpensive) wine. Her approach is casual and welcoming. I would highly recommend this excursion to my friends! more

My wife and I spent part of an afternoon with Hillary and Brian of Wine In Provence. What a great couple of hours it was as they walked us through the subtleties of wine tasting. I have picked up bits and pieces about how to know a good wine over the years but this was a condensed package that helped... more

Wine in Provence guided our family through buying and preparing lunch and a wine tasting. It was one of the highlights of our time in Europe! It started right in the middle of old-town Aix-en-Provence where we met up with Hilary and the French Chef. Together we walked through the outdoor food market to shop for all the fresh ingredients... more

My husband and I attended a wine tasting dinner where we not only learned more about tasting wines and pairing it with foods, but enjoyed an entertaining, relaxed evening with Hilary and Brian whose lively personalities really add a kick to their informative program. Really a personalized, comfortable experience! Try it, you'll love it! more

Wine in Provence, the program, "Wine Tasting class" could of not of been better. Prior to the event, I had high expectations, and they where exceeded. The hosts' wine expertise is only exceeded by their kindness and attention to the clients’ level of wine expertise. I had fun (and learned a lot) and would recommend any of Hilary and Brian... more
