This must be by far the best gourmet walking tour on offer in Aix-en-Provence! Our guide Jennifer was truly wonderful - knowledgable, approachable, friendly and fun! We walked around this beautiful city and visited market stalls and food shops as well as the "cheese man", "olive man", patisserie, wine shop and others whom our guide knew personally. A welcome stop... More

Today I went on a gourmet walking tour of Aix en Provence with an amazing woman! Jennifer's business is called Tastes of Provence and her tours are excellent. She takes you to vendors where she tells you about the people and their products. The vendors are true artisans. Josie surprised us part way through the tour...just in time to enjoy... More

We went on Jennifer's Tueday market tour. She is interesting and knowledgeable. The tour couldn't have been better. She started with history, architecture, and an overview of Aix en Provence. Jennifer tied the cuisine of Provence to French culture as she walked us through the markets. She knows the best vendors and shops, and generously shared her suggestions and insights... More

We REALLY enjoyed this tour. Jennifer is incredibly genial and there's not a question she can't cheerfully answer. She took us all around Aix and it was one of those rare instances where a tour is densely informative while extremely entertaining. The market was in full bloom - imagine tasting the first strawberries of spring, handmade sausages, olives, freshly made... More

Jennifer offers a most interesting combination of history, culture and tastings during her 3 hour tour. I took the Friday "tasting" tour and along with 5 others enjoyed Jennifer's special combination of meeting shop owners, seeing the Cours Mirabeau from a historical viewpoint and of course seeing the fresh open markets. We tasted pastries, coffee, chocolates and had a strong... More

This beautiful and vibrant city has an immense wealth of interest to offer all it's visitors, and you would think that having lived nearby, and having spent a great deal of time in Aix over the last 16 years, we would know all of the hidden gems. However, Jennifer's tour opened up many unknown corners to us, and I would... More

We planned our tour for Tuesday, May 1, and thought it would be an interesting activity for the holiday (since much else would be closed). It couldn't have turned out better. Jennifer is a wonderful tour guide who provides great historical information and fun insight into the French lifestyle. Walking around the markets and visiting specialty food shops in Aix... More

We had limited time in Aix-en-Provence having stayed in the countryside for a few days. We decided to take the walking tour with a focus on food because my traveling friend loves to cook. This was a fun trip filled with historical snippets, and a description of the French way of life. The visit to the market was the highlight.... More

Jennifer Dugdale of Tastes of Provence provides a wonderful introduction to the city of Aix en Provence in her three hour market tour. Walking tours have become our favorite activity to get a feel for what a city has to offer. Jennifer provided a very interesting, enthusiastic introduction to Aix with her Tastes of Provence walking market tour. On the... More

My husband and I don't usually take city tours, so I was not sure what to expect by booking a tour with Tastes of Provence. I had read some good reviews and thought it might be something different to try. Turns out, we really loved it! Jennifer, our guide, was fun and lively. She took us all over town, visiting... More
