It is worth seeing because of it's history, but there are lots of steep steps from one part of the palace to the other and it is very bare inside. Unfortunately, you can't take photos of the best rooms which contain the alfrescos. More

Lots of interesting stuff for the history buffs and art enthusiasts. I found the automated tour guide boring would have preferred a live person. Parking was difficult at first but there's a garage under the palace that was affordable(3 euros/2hrs), just hard to spot. More

The building itself was very interesting and wonderfully maintained. It was not free to tour but like all (or most) attractions in France, they did offer English audio guides. It was a spectacular building, that we unfortunatly couldn't take photo's of some rooms but the rest was fine. The tourist guide was a multi-lingual hand held that was easy to use and made it easy to visualise the rooms in their former glory. 1 suggestion though would be to go early. More
