An Italian diplomat gave his collection to France. The building is a small 17th century palace. One sees a Botticelli Madonna & a hundred other exquisite Italian Renaissance works including classical Roman statuary in the entry foyer. More

People interested in medieval paintings should not miss this museum. Unfortunately some of the rooms were closed and explanations of the paintings are very few, no audioguide available. The quality of the artwork (all religious of course) was excellent. Some of the paintings were unusual. Each room has a display that points out the significant pieces, which was helpful. More
