This is a lovely path with beautiful views on a clear day. We only did the downhill walk as uphill was not our cup of tea and it can be strenuous. The path is uneven with stones but its not too difficult to manage. We had rented a car and reached Eze village at 6 PM after a trip to... More

It is definitly worth the way up as well. At the beginning of May the track was not overcrowded, quite wide, though it may be exhausting for people who do not exercise regularly. Still, you can take as many breaks as you need and enjoy the amazing views. More

When on the Cote d'Azur you don't get away from the crowds easily, nor breathe air without exhaust fumes and listen to birds rather than engines. The Nietzche path is an excellent oppurtunity to do all this, Eze is a beautiful "ville perchè" and the path leads to its seaside counterpart Eze sur mer. The walk downhill is quite easy,... More

It's worth the steep walk through this village to see such a beautiful view. Excellent picture taking, just breath taking. More

We walked from Eze village down to Eze sur la mer and it was great! Highly recommended on a nice day. Even walking up wouldn't be so bad. A great hike to work off the wonderful french treats! More

We hiked up to Eze on the Nietzsche trail and found that it was not too difficult. Took bus 100 from Villefranche to Eze su Mer, then located the beginning of the trail which is very close to the train station. Eze is an amazing medieval village with lots of nooks to explore. After spending about two hours wandering around,... More

Eze Village is a perched village worth a half day trip from Nice. The named after the German philosopher who used to climb it, but it would be better descending from the village to Eze sur Mer. The footpath is signposted and is steep in parts. It can take about a hour to do although we only did part of... More
