Isola is easily accessible independently by bus from Nice. It consists mainly of a mall of shops, restaurants and hotels which snakes up the hillside. The hotels are right on the slopes. The ski area is perfect to cruise the blues for a few days. There are some nice reds, and some blacks which were closed when we went in... More

Just returned from our 3rd visit to isola 2000. ( April 1st to April 7th 2012.) Have been prompted to write regarding the fabulous care our son received after an accident. The assistance from the medical teams both on and off the mountain were excellent. Quick, comforting and friendly (contrary to some other reports written regarding the locals!!!) I guess... More

Having lived in the area all my life, I always go up here on week ends, and its all the skiing you need! Closely working with Auron, which is about one hour away by car, you can combine the day with different kind of skiing (130 kms of slopes!). The town is somewhat boring as it is all inside and... Isola 2000 is easy to reach from Nice and has a great variety of ski slopes suited to all levels. I am just starting and the green slopes offer long runs. Snow this year is in short supply and the season may end earlier than expected. The isola 2000 website offers an accurate number of ski slopes open and snow... More

It is always better when weather and snow good, but this is the perfect resort for us. There are loads of red and blue runs enough to keep us busy all week. We hired skis from isola-2000.skimium.co.uk and they were fantastic - we left everything there at the end of the day so our walk back to the apartment was... More

Very convenient, only 1.5 hours from Nice airport. High, so snow safe. Great for families, not much for experts. More

Isola 2000 is a small, (not particularly pretty in the usual alpine resort kind of way) ski resort which is great for families as it is quite small and quiet compared to some other resorts. There are nice gentle green runs for kids and more challenging others but only 1 black. The chair lift takes you right up to the... More

Visited Isola with a group of 15 business colleagues/friends in january. We had a great time and would recommend the resort - even though the snow was not great while I was there. I want to give some tips for dining as we had 2 very different experiences.... We stayed in pretty basic apartments at the top of the funicular...... More

Slopes are easy and with cannons, always open. Good chair lifts, drags and telecabins. Must visit THE COW on the resort home slope for lunch - fantastic food, service and value for money! More

Well I returned to Isola 2000 after a few years absence. This was the first place my wife tried skiing and went back for sentimental reasons. We stayed at the Diva hotel which was on the far side but enjoyable. The food was great and remembe to pre book the sauna / steam for exclusive use. The Cow Club near... More
