Anyone visiting Nice for more than a few days should definitely take a day trip on the Train de Pignes. The Train de Pignes leaves out of downtown Nice and serves both as a local transport (for the first 20 minutes) and a tourist train that travels from Nice to Dignes les Bagnes.
