Port Grimaud can be found between St Maxime and St Tropez. You cannot drive into it so you have to park in one of the huge car parks on the outskirts. After a short walk you come to the first of two arches and two bridges. At the first arch is you stop you can look down into the water and... More

We were staying in an area between Grimaud and Sainte Maxime and heard of Port Grimaud. The idea of a small "Venice-like" town seemed charming so we went to take a look. Frankly, I was disappointed. It lacks veracity. The town is cute and you'll be able to take some nice pictures, but that's it. The impression we've had is... More

Ok, if we mean the artificial village by the seashore, I really loved it. It sounds like a small Venice, but at better prices and less crowd. Obviously, not in the middle of August (very high season in Italy, just a 150 km away). We saw the village growing during these last 20 years, adding a new small villa with... More

We have been visiting Port Grimaud regularly for many years. On the whole it is a great destination. The scenery is beautiful, it has a good beach and the centre of Port Grimaud has all the usual restaurants, shops and regular markets. During the summer months it is an exciting and vibrant place to be. However, the roads are terrible... More

Visited Port Grimaud in June we stayed at the holiday marina caravan park. It is an excellent place to stay an easy walk to port grimaud 5 mins away where you can take the ferry to St Tropez for 10 euros. The weather in June is excellent and the place is a lot less crowded than July and August.. The... More

My family and I have been renting an apartment there for the last four years and this year we are going back again. It is a wonderful spot where they recreated a small Venice in the south of France with real canals; you can relax and in case you want some action, you are just 10 mins away by small... More

Port Grimaud was established as a tourist port in the 1960's taking the name Grimaud from the village 4 miles away inland. It is an attractive place worth visiting for half day if you are not staying very close by. There is a giant parking area which makes the visit possible. there is a beach and many restaurants within the... More

My friend and I stayed in an apartment in Port Grimaud for about 5 days from 18th - 22nd October 08. The weather was nice enough not to have to wear a coat about 20-23 degrees. The marina at the Port of Grimaud is brilliant, there are also lots of places to eat and shops to browse in. St Tropez... More
