You know those wonderful European multiple bell ringings that you can catch. Palace Square's is spectacular. A treat for the ears. More

Certainly shows how the other half(?) lived. The fountains are very ornate (and working too) and the monument to the Kaiser has the typical over-the-top bronze figure perched on the top. More

There is a lovely little cafe on the left hand side of the Schloss as you look at it. Very nice for hot drinks and cake while you watch the world go by! More

Very central, short walk from the main train station and right in the middle of all of the shops. In the Summer it is lovely, lots of people sitting around enjoying the sunshine with cafes/seating outside for people watching. When we visited there was a flea market across the street. Lot younger crowds of people hanging out and noticeably lot of police as well. Overall, it was a worthy sightseeing landmark. I am sure it looks prettier in the latter Spring or Summer with the foundations and flowers. More

Lovely main square in Stuttgart center, located right opposite the new castle and in front of the old stock exchange, just a few meters away from the main shopping street.
