There is not much dislike about Mittenwald, except that we visited during much construction. But that did not take away from the loveliness of this town. There is a main street made up of cobblestones where vehicles are not permitted. Tables are set up outside all the restaurants, along with various shops for gift shopping, history, wine & bier, etc.... More

A cute little old town. Very "local" feeling. Great little shops and the stream running through town is very cool. If you can be there for the running of the sheep, that's a great time! More

Mittwenwald is a nice small town that serves as a nice 1 to 2 hour detour from all the skiing and mountain excitement of the rest of the area. We would have given a 5 rating if it would have been advertised a bit better where the Violin Museum was located and a bit better parking situation. Still a good... More
