No one who is visiting Munchen, should not miss to visit it. Great chateau complex, wonderfull and large park. Recommend to go there spring - autum, now in November the waterfontanes are not working, statues are covered. Great to visit - plan one day trip.... more

Nymphenberg Palace was the summer palace of the Wittelbach's, the ruling family of Bavaria. It is really easy to get to, you just hop on the tram and there is a stop right in front of the Palace. This is a beautiful area of the attraction that is not to be missed. This lion is only one of the many magnificent sculptures adorning the grounds. The Schloss Nymphenberg is the stuff of dreams, with its elegant Italian-styled façade, lovely frescoed walls, rococo gilding, gorgeously manicured lawns and dreamy canals. The first site of Nymphenburg whets your appetite for all it has to delight you. The schloss itself was beautiful with ornate decor at every turn, however, much of the interior was closed the day I visited. I only got to visit three rooms, but they were beautiful. The collection of sleighs, carriages and porcelain are not to be missed.... more

During the summer of 2001, I visited this beautiful castle. As if almost from a dream, it is so ridiculously beautiful and amazing. The tour of the castle was extremely informative and interesting. Highly recommended to anyone who happens to be in the Munich area. more
