This church is the poster-child for Rococo style! It's not a free-standing church, rather it sits with a 'storefront' in the middle of a block of shops and offices. It's light inside, with lots of gilded things. Ornate, ornate, ornate! Every square inch is covered with something curvy and/or gold. The ceiling is magnificently painted and is accented with gold.... more

The Asamkirche is beautiful. A great example of roccoco and baroque-style architecture. Stop in if you are in Munich. more
