The church has been rebuilt after WWII using the original bricks. The statues and the paintings were put save in the bunkers of the city (you can visit one near Durer's house), so what you can admire are mostly the original ones. To entry is free, but it is advised to pay 1 euro per person. Church open only few... More

I only had a brief visit, but it was quite moving. A Catholic Church that must have 'seen' a lot of sorrow during World War II. More

no punches pulled regarding 2nd ww, and the reason for the rebuild, interesting to see the word "Nazis" scratched out of display cards, obviuosly still hurts some people. look for the postcards in shops next to church, never seen those before showing bombed areas More

Attended Sunday service even though I am not Catholic. Everyone was very nice and accommodating to my broken German. Johann Pacabel was the organist in 1700. Make sure to check out the historical photos of pre and post WWII. Take a coat, it was freezing in the old stone church and watch out for the bared wire heating under the... More

Beautiful stain glass windows, tomb of St Sebald, and lots of interesting art around church. It has organ concerts. Enjoyed visiting this church. More
