The castle itself is not particolarly interesting if you decide not to follow a guided tour. In fact, without the official guide, you cannot entry inside the main Palace, the Chapel and the deep well. The Palace is almost empty, not having any furnitures. The most beautiful part of the castle is the Chapel, which actually is formed by two... More

A medieval castle with a great view of the city. I think its a lovely place for photographers and those who love old architectures. A tour inside of the castle costs 5 euros but unfortunately it was in German only. More

I think it was a pretty average castle, and even though it was pretty and medieval, most of it was reconstructed. Whilst I understand that it was necessary, it didn't feel like an original building, just a remake. I would have appreciated it if they left some of it in its natural state or at least had images of it... More

Greeting staff was very nice. Tour guide was a bit miffed at giving the tour in English at all. Would spend several minutes in German and 45 seconds in English. We speak enough German to get the gist of what he was saying but if you speak no German, buy a book first! More

The 'Burg' was partially rebuilt after some destruction during WW II, but t's still a fascinating place to see. I can't comment about english speaking guides, as I've never taken any guided tours there. There are dozens of small restaurants around in the pedestrian area, and you can walk up there from the central train station, and fom all hotels... More

It is quite some way up from Nuremberg train station. We also went to the overpriced, touristy restaurants along the way. A good German beer always helps your climb. More

The best view of Nuremberg Alstadt (old city). You can see the churches - St. Lorenz, St. Sebaldus and Frauenkirche. Its an uphill from the Hauptmarkt. This view is a treat for all those with a panoramic lens, in which you can capture the whole city view. More

You can't see the castle without a tour. The outside was beautiful and we would have liked to view the castle but it was a couple hours away until the tour and we didn't have time to wait. They should up the amount of tours and try to hire enthusiastic staff. The staff was a little bit "who cares" about... More
