There is nothing really about Kurfürstendamm that leaps out at you as a "must see" while in Berlin. It is very much like many of the other major Boulevards in large European cities. We spent 4 days in Berlin and thought we should visit this renowned street and area. The bus ride through the park from the east of the city was interesting and we did see the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church which made the trip worthwhile. It looks awful and has all the same shops you would find on any High Street. Nothing special. More

Kaufhof des Westens: we liked it, especially the 6th floor with all kind of luxury food. More

Great and wonderfull shopping avenue. Make sure to rest and take a terrace to sit and watch people goin by. More

Be prepared for a lot of walking. This is a loooong and wide street with many many shops, and of course cool restaurants. Not the cheapest place in Berlin, but the quality is certainly good. More

As the main shopping street in Berlin many things can be found... Zoo Garten, street performers, shops and restaurants of many kinds... The perfect place to take a walk... Or, if it suits you the perfect place to people watch or be seen from a sidewalk cafe..! More

If you dont have time in your itinary to see K'damn dont stress.. The Kaiser Wilhelm church is currently boarded up due to building work so you can't really see anything. The rest of the street is very grand and wide, lined with trees and does look pretty but there is only shops, cafes and fastfood joints etc not really... More

There used to be 2 great independant stores the Ka De Ve and Wertheims. Since Wertheims has been re-branded as a Karstadt it is now just the same as all other Karstadts. The Ku-damm is systematic of most high streets since most of the independant stores that once gave it life have long gone and it is just a collection... More
