The Berlin Cathedral is very impressive. It has room for a congregation of over 2000. It is very impressive and truly worth a visit. more

The cathedral is lovely on the outside and the main area inside, under the dome, is beautiful. The crypt is worth a look. We didn't bother climbing as we'd already seen the views from the nearby TV Tower. Skip the audio guide though, or at least skip large parts of it - unless you want long, boring irrelevant lectures on... more

I liked this cathedral very much. Nothing special from the outside, but very beautiful inside. When I was there the organ was playing and I felt I could have stayed forever gazing up at the ceiling and listening to the marvelous organ. Highly recommended. more

I may be wrong, but I don't think the Berliner Dom has the same importance in Berlin as Notre Dame does in Paris or St. Paul does in London. The two highlights: 1. I believe that the views from the top are well worth the 270 stairs that you must climb. If you eat like the Germans do, then you will probably welcome the exercise! ;o) One little hidden treasure was on the side entrance, there were bullet holes from the war. more
