That's not the place I would admire especially after being in an amazing places like Keukenhof in Lisse. I'm always very sensible to the places I visit ( sights, hotels, restaurants) and believe that every place has its " face and energy". For me the energy of this place is negative, I would not make photos there. I'm not a... More

This is not for everbody. It is four floors of little rooms where artists display their very own unique art form. The whole place is covered in graffiti and it is pretty daunting. Worth a visit? Yes Providing you are into really weird stuff! We enjoyed it. Dont be put off by the state of the place. Better these artists... More

Tacheles is basically an abandoned building covered in street/graffiti art inside....Ive personally not seen anything similiar. The actually art is very good around the building (not just name tagging) and every room you walk into their is an artist doing something or other, was quite an experience. Dont want to ruin your experience so wont upload any photos of the... More

Stumbling upon this art community was one of my favorite things about my recent trip to Europe. After walking for hours in what felt like a frenzy of consumerism in the shopping district near Mitte, I saw this dilapidated building with some crazy shady looking characters outside. So I thinks to myself, "this is my kind of place!" I was... More

Yes, this place has a unique scent, but looking at it's history; it was a squat! If it had a rosta for cleaners I don't think it would have the same feel somehow. We came across this place by pure chance late at night. It has an eerie feel to it, but one that makes you want to look in... More

We thought we missed it when it temporarily closed last Thursday. Without knowing how important a centre it is, some might find the sight (or smell) of it a detraction. An amazing place to get a sense of the arts scene and evolution of the neighborhood. Worth taking some time to really explore, and to talk with the artists. Well... More

When visiting Berlin do not miss Tacheles. It's a sort of street art gallery built in an occupied building. Not clean and organized, but worth to have a look. Entrance foc. More than 400000 int'l tourists visited this place in 2011. More

This squat house is a very cool thing to see. Go see it now though because it will be gone soon! Go with a guide if possible, or read up on it in advance or you will think it's some kind of crazy drug house. More
