We've been to quite a few galleries that quite frankly were overwhelming in size and scope. This one in central Berlin is doable in a couple of hours and is housed with a central hall that is a work of art in itself. We'd also recommend the salad bar at the restaurant in the same building (Kulturforum). More

This museum has a large collection of 13th to 18th century art including the Dutch masters. It's an easy museum to navigate and has lots of places to sit. The audio guide is useless - fortunately it's free with museum entry. The museum cafe is OK for lunch. More

This is a spectacular and very user-friendly gallery. It is covered by the Berlin Pass, which allows repeated visits. Since there is so much high-quality art to see, we actually returned for a second visit after quick stops at some of the museums on Museum Island. A well laid out, modern art gallery. The pictures are set out round a central court with seating & a lovely water feature. This was excellent for relaxing between viewing the excellent display. I spent most of the day here. More

Spacious, well laid out but a bit warm and stuffy - I guess this is to keep the artwork at the right temperature. Loads of great pictures (although the sheer volume of Dutch masters was a bit "heavy") and not at all crowded. A lack of information in English loses a star. Very nice terrace cafe at the front. More
