We've been to quite a few galleries that quite frankly were overwhelming in size and scope. This one in central Berlin is doable in a couple of hours and is housed with a central hall that is a work of art in itself. We'd also recommend the salad bar at the restaurant in the same building (Kulturforum).

This museum has a large collection of 13th to 18th century art including the Dutch masters. It's an easy museum to navigate and has lots of places to sit. The audio guide is useless - fortunately it's free with museum entry. The museum cafe is OK for lunch.

huge collection well curated and FULL of European art from 13th to 18th centuries, including two Vermeers. Not to be missed if you like European art. The best in Berlin in our opinion and we travel extensively in US and Europe for art

A well laid out, modern art gallery. The pictures are set out round a central court with seating & a lovely water feature. This was excellent for relaxing between viewing the excellent display. I spent most of the day here.

Spacious, well laid out but a bit warm and stuffy - I guess this is to keep the artwork at the right temperature. Loads of great pictures (although the sheer volume of Dutch masters was a bit "heavy") and not at all crowded. A lack of information in English loses a star. Very nice terrace cafe at the front.
