This is a must-see for anyone visiting Berlin. Visiting there, I was overwhelmed mostly by a great sense of lost. The exhibit displays pictures of ordinary people who studied there, worshipped there, celebrated their weddings or bar mitzvas. You know the rest. My feeling is that many Germans think their history began with the Berlin Wall. It doesn't. Go there. More

The Centrum Judaicum is in the front part of the Neue Synagoge on Oranienburgerstrasse. This is the part that survived Kristallnacht and then wartime bombings and subsequent post-war neglect.
