The East side gallery is an open air art museum. The paintings were originally drawn in 1990s and redone in 2000+. The artists came from all over the world. The gallery demonstrates that Berlin is an open city with many dreams and a great deal of history. More

I rode past on a bus tour. The colors are rich and graffiti has it's own place so as to not ruin this. More

This was definately a high light of the trip, not because of the wall, but because of the art work on the wall and what it represents. Forget check point charlie. It is a joke. The only thing of interest there is the photographs . On the east side gallery i would suggest you start from the beginning and walk... More

How can you go to Berlin and not take a walk along the longest stretch of the old Berlin Wall still standing? I'm not a huge street art fan, but some of the murals were excellent. I took plenty of pictures. More

OK for us as we were only staying round the corner but I'm glad we didn't cross the city to see it. There is no gallery: it's simply a stretch of the old Berlin Wall (the longest still standing) covered in graffiti-style murals. Fine if that's what you like but I wouldn't make a special trip to see it. More

Very interesting to see a large part of the Berlin Wall still standing, and the art is fascinating. If you are into the Wall history or art it's a "must see". Take the "Hop on Hop off" tour to get way out there, it's pretty far into the East side. More
