I visited it a couple of times (it used to be free on thursday night) and I totally recommend it. Amazing museum ... and not only for Nefertiti ;-) You can think: what a strange idea to visit an egyptian museum in berlin ?! well, the truth is : it is totally worth it. Take an audio guide and you... More

Had another fab holiday with Fadi and his team. The boat is as beautiful as ever, food amazing, customer service, none better. The staff cannot do enough to help you. A great relaxing holiday, can't wait to go back later this year. More

The most important thing to tell you is that this museum is actually part of the Neues Museum - and it isn't free! (10 euros each). But it is really interesting and has some beautiful artefacts. It is required that most bags are left in a manned storage area but that wasn't a problem for us. Most of the pieces... More

Take your time. Don't pretend you'll be able to cover everything in this ample collection of Egyptian treasures in one visit - we didn't. The experience was mind-blowing anyway. Since I was a kid, I had dreamed of one day standing face to face with the bust of Queen Nefertite, More often than not, these dreams turn out to be... More

We had seen some of this collection in Dahlem before the museum was restored, but it took on a new meaning in its current location. The combination of the architecture and the collections is so intelligently done. We spent five hours in this marvelous museum and would have lingered -- except our feet gave out. I've never been interested in... More

The free entrance was good. What we didn't know was that you have to pay & reserve online to get a time slot to see Nephatiti's bust. Otherwise the museum was quite good. More

We planned to go to the Pergammon and Egyptian Museums while we were on our bi-annual family holiday. We did not pre-book our tickets on-line and we were prepared to wait, if need be to enter the museum. Most of Berlin (for some reason) was under construction, there are road works everywhere, this includes Museum Island. After being sent all... More

The Egyptian Museum in Berlin ranks among the finest in the world. The collection has been moved around, stored away and been divided since it was founded in 1828 as part of the royal collection. In 1850 te Egyptian collection was moved to the Neues Museum (New Museum) on the Museum Insel (Museum Island), but after World War 2 and... More

Unless your life will not be complete without seeing the Nefertiti mask, give this one a miss. No matter that you can come here for only a couple of extra euros, if you’ve been to the Pergamon museum. For an experienced museum visitor, the other museums don’t warrant the effort, even on a wet Monday. This is a museum without... More

The Egyptian Museum has moved and is now beside the Beliner Dom in the Altes Museum. it will move to the Neues Museum in 2008-2010. this is an amazing museum if only for the bust of Nefertiti although for anyone interested there is a lot more besides.... there is a great Islamic collection detailling the advent and spread of Islamic...
