As a young-ish adult, I really didn't feel this museum was for me, I felt there was too much emphasis on interactivity and too little information. We really enjoyed this museum. I really like the interactive nature of the museum. It's also an excellent museum for tourists in a hurry because you can enjoy it in a reasonable amount of time. Some museums are too time consuming. more

Small private museum showing the everyday in GDR. Surely advisable. Price only 5,5 €, cheap considering how interesting and many things there are to do for a museum. Interesting to see and experience how they lived in the GDR. It surpriced me that they had several things - which they also had in the western society - than I thought.... more

Had an absolutely awesome time here, it was so much fun: really gives you a chance to see exactly how the people in East Germany lived. Very well put together and well worth a visit! Would definitely go back! more

I went here during the day on a weekday and it was packed with people. It's a little hard to find, it is right beside the river, you have to go down stairs from the main street. A smallish kind of place but lots of great videos and history and cheap to get in. more

A great museum- interactive, informative, reconstruction of life as it would have been in the DDR. Visited the Stasi museum which was far too text orientated. The DDR museum gets it just about spot on. Worth a visit. more

Find out about life in East Germany at the DDR museum. It is extremely well located by Berliner Dom making it easy to find. We popped in in the evening which seemed to be a popular idea for a lot of people. When you enter the museum you really get a feeling for the daily life in the DDR. It is a very interactive museum which makes it very special and interesting to me.
