MiWuLa is the largest interactive modell show that I have ever seen. You will start with America, than Scandinavia, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Hamburg, Harz, Knufingen, Austria and recent addtion Switzerland. The new parts are Airport section and France and Italy will be completed following years. The show not only covers model railways, extensive usage of Faller Car System are in... more

Wow - biggest model train layout in the world! Words cannot do it justice. You could easily spend half a day here - we were there over 2 hours. Tip: Get there early, like around opening time, to beat the crowds. more

Went to Miniatur Wunderland before departing on the Queen Mary 2. Spent the entire morning there and it was worth every minute spent in the extensive, well thought out exhibition. So much to see in little time. Two and a half hours went by in a flash. Great for children of all ages. more

We didn't go with any expectations to this attraction, but it ended up a lot of fun. Besides the whole miniature train network, they put a lot of effort in the small people puppets you see everywhere. There are funny references in all the scenery like naked ski-tourists, a Milka cow or the aliens (and their hobbies) at area 51.... more

Where mega parks like Disney World seem to specialize on creating its own separate little fantasy world by using an enormous amount of space, Miniatur Wonderland takes the exact opposite approach. Over just a little more than one floor of one single warehouse, German miniature-train enthusiasts have minimized real countries and cities into microscopical proportions, and created an awesome attraction... more

Miniatur Wunderland was a great experience. The work and detail that has gone into building it, is amazing. I loved viewing the wunderland from daylight to night time and I also liked the interactive buttons that you could press to make the trains or objects or people do things. I really recommend this to anyone who goes to Hamburg!! more

I hadn't heard about this place until friends from the UK came over and had read about it in their local newspaper. It is great. We spent a good few hours there. There is so much to see. On the pamphlet you get there are various things to find - makes it a challenge to really look at everything!!! Beware... more

I was impressed with how large of a display of trains and minature models are out for you to review. One unique and fun effect was watching the diaroma transition from daylight to night time. As the "sunset set" (red and blue lights were turned on and white lights were turned off) the attention to detail on the various models,... more

If you are a train-model-freak or simply likes miniature - go to the Hamburg Miniatur Wunderland. How to get there: by U-Bahn (U3) to Baumwall, approx. 7 minutes of walking. What to see: You have 1.500 M2 to admire the more than 750,000 hours of building a miniature World. The scenery is devided up into diffrent Worldparts with plenty of... more
