Wow! Very well done, especially when coupled with the Beatles walking tour (you can find it on the Hamburg Official Tourism Site). Took a day trip from Berlin to Hamburg just for the tour and museum and it was worth it! Yeah the tour was a little seedy, but so is that part of Hamburg, so just relax and enjoy!... More

Me and my friends enjoyed visiting Beatlemania in Hamburg. Museum had lots of personal stuff from the Beatles and their fans, videos, karaoke and posters etc. Interesting, but not awesome, so I only rate it as average. But if you're a Beatles fan, you'll enjoy! :) More

Certainly hard core fans will NEED to visit this exhibit - some interesting photos and commentary on the lads ' time in Hamburg....but it left me wanting more....it was well worth the modest admission prices, and having read some of the reviews below, I was expecting to be blown away - I wasn't. Didn't grow up a huge Beatles fan but as I got older and appreciated music and the work involved to achieve the heights the Beatles did I became a big fan. Beatlemania is a great tribute to a great band with many interesting items of their early careers. The memorabilia and displays based on certain albums presented a nice atmosphere... More

I agree with another reviewer that Beatlemania is better than The Beatles Story in Liverpool. Although it is small, it presents Hamburg's role in The Beatles' history well with various interviews with key people such Astrid Kirchherr and Klaus Voormann. Moreover, there are photos there I haven't seen before and I consider myself a pretty hardcore fan that's seen many.... More

We live relatively close to Liverpool and have visited a few times for Beatles-related experiences and attractions. It was quite embarrassing as a Brit to find that this museum in Hamburg is far superior to the 'award winning' Beatles Story located at the Albert Dock (obviously my own opinion!) Located near the Beatles-Platz and Große Freiheit, I found the Beatlemania Museum on the Reeperbahn. I really enjoyed going through this museum. There were plenty of displays showing pictures and telling the history of the Beatles and their formative years playing at the clubs on nearby Große Freiheit.
