If you have a couple of hours to spare in Frankfurt, a trip to the Stadel Museum is worth considering. Spread across two floors, the museum is well set out and well maintained. It has a couple of works by Monet, Renoir, Munch and Ruebens, as well as works by Botticelli, Manet, Cezanne, Degas and Van Gogh, which are worth... more

Went on 5/26/07. Within 15 minute walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof across a beautiful bridge. Not in the top tier of most famous museums, but worth a visit if you love museums. Highlights include a Vermeer painting and a Botticelli depiction of idealized beauty. Air conditioning wasn't working during my visit. more
