Went for a symphonic concert - excellent seating with lots of leg room. Very modern inside. Acoustics were superb. Definitely worth a visit.

The restored Opera House is beautiful from the outside, but inside is really special. Very modern, wonderful accoustics, lovely intermission bars. I enjoyed a fantasic concert here, got a ticket the morning of the performance.

You can hardly hear soloists standing in front of the orchestra - especially singers, but even the piano is almost drowned out.
I have no idea why they don't do something about it. All the other concert halls in the Rhein-Main area have better acoustics, Darmstadt being the best.

You can't miss the Alte Oper - used today as a venue for entertainment gigs and conferences - it's great - even if you only visit the outside.
