Great views, sadly the monument was under renovation and I would recommend the combined ticket with the walk to the ski lift down to Assmannshausen & a boat trip back to Rudesheim. More

The 30 over feet tall Niederwald monument could be seen from a distance and it was so great. We admired it. The woodlands surrounding the monument and the journey upto it was beautiful and amazing. More

Monument was shrouded in scaffolding and plastic, so invisible. However, feast your eyes on the view and walk down through the vinyards and you will not be disappointed. More

My title pretty much sums it up. The cable ride was short, but nice. The view was nice. The statue was completely under construction but even if it wasn't, I'm sure it was nice. This was included in a packaged tour that we purchased and I don't know that I would have gotten a ticket a la carte. The ride... More

Stopped here on our walk between the cable car at Rudesheim and the chair lift to Assmannhausen and although the view down over the Rhine is very picturesque the monument is covered in scaffolding and plastic sheets. Once renovated let's hope it does justice to the picture postcards you can buy all over the area. More

Nice view from the monument but the monument itself was completely covered with scaffolding and we couldn't see it. More

We were on a river cruise which stopped for part of the day in Ruedesheim and we knew we would have some free time in the town. The town itself is a bit "chocolate box" and touristy and the only ways for tourists to get to/from the cruise boats is either a long walk or a ride in a tourist... More

While in Rudesheim Germany, we took the cable car (2 people per tram bucket) up to the Niederwald Monument. (It's a short walk from where you get off the cable car to the monument.) The view up the hill from the cable car is amazing & beautiful --- the vineyards, towns & Rhine River. That alone is well worth the... More
