This lake is beautiful at any time of the year. Good for jogging around or just walking. Watch out when the weather gets cool because part of it is a nude beach. In the winter it can freeze over so you can skate on it. All in all, a nice place worth checking out. More

Visited the lake when it was frozen and open for the public to walk on due to minimum required ice thickness. Great experience and also to see all the locals participating in various ways. Locals love to hang out at the Maschsee during the summer. There are different bars around it where you can end your busy sightseeing day with a nice cold beer. The Maschsee fest is also worth a visit. You have a beautiful walking/running path around the lake. More

Cool to walk around in the summer, and it has a great beer garten at one end, but the most amazing thing is its size and that it was hand built by the Nazis I beleive. Way cool - do see. More
