Aachen Cathedral is an awe-inspiring monument to Gothic architecture. Its four towers, vaulted ceilings, and Baroque chapels are a testament to its rich history and the skill of its builders. It is a must-see for anyone interested in European art and architecture.

Nice museum about the treasures in the Aachener Dom. A great collection of stones in all sorts of colors and sizes. And old relics.

I visited the Aachen city hall (Rathaus) on a Saturday afternoon. It surprised me how few people were there. I assume most of the tourists were at the cathedral.

The entry price is modest, and I downloaded a free self-guided 2D tour on my phone, which allowed me to point my phone at various paintings and furniture to see the story behind them. The app is really well done and highlights specific elements of a painting and tells the details of only that element of the painting. The stories are in text. If accompanied audio description was included that would really be a nice improvement.

A great market to visit - the atmosphere of a 'classic' German market is un matched. The food is incredible, the stalls are stunning and the drinks are awesome. The lights and the decor are fantastic.

I have never seen so much chocolate before. Lindt is a worldwide popular chocolate and going to their store is a special experience for all choco lovers. Be careful not to spend too much, it can easily happen even though their prices are very affordable and a lot cheaper than other stores.
Really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back soon.

We saw the Dürer exhibition, which was worth while. The building itself also deserves some attention.

Interesting look inside a rich family's mansion that is kept like a time-capsule. Well-furnished with many interesting objects/household items, English info signage in every room, but lots of stairs. It's on the city's "6 for 6" museum card. Worth a visit.

Modern museum with a smartphone app in 4 languages. Also many touch screens, models and copies of paintings and documents. I spent two hours in the museum.

This is probably the first place you will visit in Aachen. For tourists this is the central point and also the point from which many of the buses to outlying tourist sites depart from. The service staff are friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Don't wait, start your exploring here.
