    Relaxing family spa
This was our first stop after a long journey and it was just what we needed. We parked underground and emerged to a world of water and relaxation. It was calm enough to be properly relaxing but had enough variety to keep our two children (9 & 12) entertained. We all loved floating around in the current and being massaged by the waterfalls. The changing rooms were well-organised and clean. We would definitely come back if we were in the area again.

Wish we had somewhere like this close to where we live!
We spent a great time here on a 3.5 hr ticket for 14 euros. It is a short bus ride on the 51 bus from Aachen centre and a couple of minutes walk. We were able to hire towels and the locker system is very easy to use with e-bracelets making it easy to go back and forth. The friendly staff explained everything to us in English which we much appreciated. We tried most of the pool areas, my favourite was the larger outdoor one with the jets where every half hour there is a whirlpool which propels you round the pool area. There are various types of seating to sit or lie on so we read for a bit too. We also had lunch here which was good and reasonably priced. It is up a set of stairs within the pool area so just go up in your pool wear. We were there in the middle of the day on a weekday and it wasn’t overcrowded. There were a few loved up couples around which we could have done without but I still would give this place a 5star rating,

    Short stop over.
With a short stop over, had a chance to spend 2 hrs and relax in the spa. You can choose 3 hrs 6 hrs or all day pass. With a wrist band provided you secure all your belongings in a locker and off you go. I went on a Saturday and it was busy, but still enjoyable. I spent most of the time outside and caught the lazy river 3 times. If in the area, I would definitely go again. I arrived by car and there is parking directly attached to the property and it costs $6 EUR to park which you pay with your entry ticket to the spa.

Enjoyable visit to a German sauna.
Visited in March 2024. Friendly and helpful multilingual staff on reception, who explained what to expect and how to hire a robe and towels for the day. Several differently themed saunas both inside and around the garden; and steam and wet room rooms arranged around a giant bathing pond beneath a dome. The on site restaurant meant I could finish my visit with a beer and freshly prepared meal. I visited on a Tuesday and the facility seemed to attract a large number of students from the university; everybody was respectful and at ease. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit; I wish we had something similar in England.

First very disappointing experience at Carolus Thermen Bad Aachen. Waiting for an hour only to find out the place was full and having to stand in line can be incredibly frustrating, especially when you're eager to relax and enjoy your time. It's disappointing when staff members don't handle such situations well, as it can further sour the experience. Not being met with understanding or empathy from the staff can really put a damper on what was supposed to be a rejuvenating visit. Hopefully, the management can address these issues to ensure a more pleasant experience for their guests in the future.

For my 30th birthday, my girlfriend booked a massage for both of us. Payment was accepted and as we didn't receive final confirmation for the schedule m, we tried to get somebody on the phone. They were not able to give us any information, and didn't look at all to it! "Yeah i call you Back in 5 minutes..... 1hr later tried to contact them again"yeah yeah coming Back to you in 5 minutes"
Fortunately, by going directly to the thermes place, we found somebody who tried to enlight the situation. But the result was that they had not do the necessary for our reservation, so we never had my birthday gift :). We decided to at least go to the thermal Bath (we paie once again for it)!
But honestly, those thermal Bath were Big jokes, worst than a classical swimming pool, water not hot nor fresh, just random, overcrowded, not clean! We stayed 10 minutes before deciding that it doesn't worth it to lost More Time and Energy for that :).

We only went in the clothing required area (€14 for 3
5 hours), but did so in the hope that we would find a hot pool or two. These did not exist, there being one small pool with a temperature of 92-3 degrees or so, and one small cool pool in the mid- to high 50s. In sum, this part of the spa is nothing more than a fancy water park without the neat water slides. The sole creative elements are a pool with a circular current around the perimeter that you can float in and a handful of cascades that provide the equivalent of a back massage.

If you want to sweat, you'll have to strip naked and shell out more money.

Super hot so decided to go here for a few hours. Staff were lovely and there was plenty of space for everyone. Didn't feel over crowded at all. We tried the cafe and this too was reasonable. Would certainly return

On a freezing cold December afternoon in Aachen, Carolus Thermen is THE place to visit. After a couple of hours in the hot waters you feel warm to the bone.

It’s quite cheap - only €12,60 for 3,5 hours. If you also want to visit the saunas, you’ll have to pay more. Remember to bring your own towel and swin suit,

There is a number of different hot water pools. Some with bubbles, some with a kind of waterfall shoulder massage, one taking you outside in the cold air, one with very cold water,

We spent 1,5 hours in the soothing waters - 3,5 hours seems excessive.
