Wednesday 6 December 2006 First experience of an opera in Germany. Best to understand the storyline a bit first (we thought we did, but realised we had somehow lost the plot - same characters but an entirely different storyline....). Helps to be at least bi-lingual to cope with watching an opera sung in Italian with German subtitles. Despite this, still... more
